PSGIMS one of the pioneers in the field of health care have extended their spectrum to one of the challenging and interesting Field of Medicine – Rheumatology. This initiative has extended the commitment of providing specialized medical care to the needed patients. The department has been established to provide comprehensive state of the art care to all arthritis and autoimmune diseases. Rheumatic diseases can affect the very young to the very old people and proper diagnosis and treatment can make a change in one’s life.

The department has been established with the strong background support of NABL accreditated laboratory which can do routine as well as necessary special and advanced investigations with state of the art technology in affordable price and at minimum possible time. The backbones of the department are the various broad specialties and super specialty team which are functioning successfully in the hospital. Excellent ancillary support with full-fledged physiotherapy and occupational therapy departments make the care for arthritis patients complete.
